Friday Favs – Week 6

So writing my Friday Favs on a Sunday afternoon with the air conditioner on the lowest possible temperature setting and the highest fan speed.

Auckland is sweltering hot! This time next week I will be in the UK where it’s currently about 10 degrees! Woohoo.

My Friday Favs for this week are the movies that we watched.

‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’ which was surprising moving and incredibly poignant. I found myself bawling at the end. Based on a true story, it is a must watch.

‘Captain Fantastic’ brutal and raw and we watched this after multiple people recommended it. I could not watch the first few minutes but after that I got into the swing of the movie. It is extremely moving and makes you think about people living “off” the grid.

Both movies were incredibly deep and really made you think about the world that we live in.

I am excited about the number of movies that I can watch on my trip to the U.K.....so many hours on the plane, so many movies

Friday Favs – Week 5

On wet rainy day in Auckland these amazing shoes from Willow add a little ‘brightness’ to the day!

Ordered a couple of books from Book Depository this week which is a bit exciting. My reading style has changed and I am reading a bit more non-fiction which is great.

Loving Snapchat filters, oh my goodness they are a whole new level of cute and crazy. I am addicted! Also, I normally take selfies when I am in my PJ’s so it almost looks like I am naked. OOPS!

Friday Favs - Week 4

There is only one Friday favourite today even if it's a day late.

For the last few years I have followed an amazing organization based in Sri Lanka.

They rescue and help stray and injured dogs and cats and do tireless, lifesaving work.

Animal SOS Sri Lanka are a registered U.K. charity and they need our help to continue.

Not only do they rescue and help the most hopeless cases they also do desexing programs in local villages. So they help animals while also educating people and stopping the birth of further cats and dogs.

They have started a Go Fund Me page. Even if you just donate £5 you have to know that it is going where it is sorely needed.

Friday Favs – Week 3

Found this amazing blogger Funky Forest who is a nutritionalist in Australia. How could you not want to read and love a person who wrote a blog post titled

Had a look at my list of 101 things in 1001 days as I only have just over a year to get through my list. Admittedly, I have been working on lists within the list which has probably slowed me down a lot! You can read about the ‘Day Zero’ project on their website.

It is a month today until I go to the UK and Paris for work. It all seems rather surreal!
